Both had to battle to the finish to return to the winner’s circle.
Tattar struggled at times during Championship Sunday of the first Elite+ event of 2023 but her six-stroke cushion was more than enough to grab her fifth win in eight starts this season.

A few things were under control on Saturday at Glendoveer Golf Club.
Kristin Tattar kept the lead, and Sai Ananda and Juliana Korver kept pace. Adam Hammes bounced back with a hot round on a day that, in his own words, felt easy at the 2023 DGPT — Portland Open presented by Latitude 64, an Elite+ event.
“It just felt like every shot that I stepped up to, I was in full control of it,” Hammes said. “Never really got nervous on any of them and I executed quite a few. Every time I had the disc in my hand, it felt easy today.”
Other than Tattar at the top of FPO — now with a six-stroke lead — things are moving in Oregon, including Calvin Heimburg surging to the lead card on Saturday, when action shifts to the East course at Glendoveer Golf Club.

After two weekends of Silver Series Events, the Disc Golf Pro Tour heads back to Oregon for the 2023 Portland Open Presented by Latitude 64. As well as being the 13th event on the 2023 DGPT schedule, this year’s Portland Open will be the first ever Elite+ Event. This new designation is shared by the upcoming Discraft Ledgestone Open and will feature higher purses, additional media focus, and 150% points awarded, the same as PDGA Majors and DGPT playoff events.
The OTB Open started as the San Francisco Open in 2018 as part of the Disc Golf Pro Tour, then moved to Stockton, California and partnered with OTB Discs in 2021. A new course was designed at Swenson Park by Leonard Muise, who had also designed the course at Gleneagles for the SFO. Now in its third year on the Elite Series, the OTB Open is the sixth Elite Series event of the 2023 season.
The Jonesboro Open started as a PDGA B-Tier in 2017 and moved up to an Elite Series event in 2018. Now in its seventh year, the 2023 Jonesboro Open will be the fifth Elite Series event of the season.

The 2023 DGPT - Music City Open kicked off with a cold, windy round at Mill Ridge Park, but that wasn’t enough to keep the top players in the FPO and MPO fields from drumming up some solid scores in the opening round.
This might sound like a broken record, but Kristin Tattar leads the FPO after one round and the MPO field found themselves in a logjam at the top of the leaderboard.
The Music City Open was first held in 2010 and was on the PDGA National Tour in 2021. In 2022, the MCO was a Silver Series event and now returns as the fourth Elite Series event of the 2023 season.
While the Open at Austin provided a unique challenge for the MPO and FPO fields as they competed on a brand new course, players returning to Mill Ridge Park for the 2023 MCO will be familiar with many of its holes.
The second stop of the 2023 season promises better weather and the return of a couple of familiar faces. While the Las Vegas Challenge forced players to contend with cold temperatures and ripping winds, calmer conditions in Waco will give players the opportunity to focus on shaping their shots through the woods and showcasing their distance in the open along the Brazos River in central Texas.

Powering through adverse weather, the MPO and FPO fields finished the first round of the 2023 season with strong scores and even stronger mental focus at the DGPT - Las Vegas Challenge presented by Innova.
Round 1 was split between two courses with FPO at the Infinite course and MPO at the Millennium course. Both fields ended with a tight spread on the leaderboard with five strokes separating the top 13 players in the FPO and only two strokes separating the top 12 players in the MPO. With three rounds left to go, this is still anyone’s game.

This week, the Disc Golf Pro Tour kicks off with the Las Vegas Challenge presented by Innova.
The first Elite Event of the 2023 season is once again hosted at the Wildhorse Golf Club, but with significant course changes from last year. While previous editions have been contested on three different courses, this year the FPO field will compete exclusively on the Infinite and Innova courses while the MPO field will compete on the Millennium and Innova courses.

Bigger and better.
That’s how disc golf has operated over the past few seasons and that trend will continue in 2023 and the proof is here with the release of the 2023 PDGA Elite Series, PDGA Euro Tour and PDGA Majors schedule.

The inaugural Disc Golf Pro Tour Playoffs kicked off at Smugglers’ Notch in chilly conditions and a steady breeze that found its way through the corridors of Brewster Ridge.
The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) is pleased to announce a new partnership agreement with the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) beginning in 2022.
Under the new agreement, the PDGA National Tour and DGPT Elite Series will be merged into a single cohesive tour - The Disc Golf Pro Tour: “The Official Pro Tour of the PDGA.” This marks the start of a potent partnership that will further amplify the growth of elite professional disc golf.
Jeffersonville, VT – In February of 2020, the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) launched the Disc Golf Network (DGN), a new subscription-based streaming service dedicated to live disc golf coverage of elite professional events. SmashboxxTV and it’s co-founders Terry Miller and Jonathan Van Duerzen, played an integral role in delivering a high-quality live product. Disc Golf Network went on to outperform even the highest subscriber projections with over 18,000 disc golf fans subscribing over eight months. Now, the partnership that helped fuel that success is locked in through 2023.
